Vashon True Value Supports Emergency Preparedness

Table of Contents

VashonTrueValueIt’s great to note that Vashon True Value’s online store has a special section for Emergency Preparedness! (Hopefully they will soon round this out to include all the items from VashonBePrepared’s disaster checklists.) Other local stores also have dedicated sections for disaster supplies. Maybe we can develop a special listing on our new web site for all these efforts.

There is also a neat story on NPR today about how FEMA and local emergency managers are working closely with retail stores (Big Box Stores in this case). Something we’ve recognized for a few years now: our job is to get local stores up and operational as fast as possible: much better for the community and economy than trying to duplicate so much of what their employees already do so very well!
