CascadiaFeatureThanks to All Who Participated

What a team! How is it possible that so many people can work together for four days and achieve so much?

The answer: It's what Vashon is all about, isn't it? Neighbors helping neighbors.

Many thanks to everyone who came to "play" in Vashon's Cascadia Rising earthquake exercise.

We had many new faces and our mailing list (http://goo.gl/qk7zTf) does not begin to reach out to all from the following groups who gave of their time to support the exercise, so please feel free to pass on our heartfelt congratulations and thanks:

  • Vashon Auxiliary Communications Services (ACS)
  • Vashon Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
  • Vashon Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
  • Voice of Vashon (VoV)
  • Vashon Island Fire & Rescue (VIFR) staff and volunteers
  • Vashon Marine Emergency Response Unit (MERT)
  • The Seattle based 181st Brigade Support Battalion (BSB)
  • Vashon Neighborhood Emergency Response Organizations (NERO)
  • King County Sherriff’s Office (KCSO)
  • King County Office of Emergency Management (KC OEM)
  • Vashon Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Team
